The
Academy Awards were held at the Shrine from 1947–1948 and
for eight times between 1988 and 2001 until it moved to the Kodak
Theatre in Hollywood. The Shrine has hosted several Grammy ceremonies
until 2000 when it had moved to the nearby Staples Center.

The
Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum is a large outdoor sports stadium
in the University Park neighborhood of Los Angeles, California at
Exposition Park that is home to the University of Southern California
Trojans football team. It is located next to the Los Angeles Memorial
Sports Arena adjacent to the campus of the University of Southern
California (USC).

The
California African American Museum (CAAM) is a museum located in
Exposition Park, Los Angeles, California, USA. The
museum was designed by the African–American architects Jack
Haywood and (the late) Vince Proby. The new museum building opened
to the public during the Los Angeles Olympic Games in July 1984.
A major renovation occurred between 2001 and 2003.
