Billy
Dean
AmericaJR.com
has teamed up with The Ark in Ann Arbor to give you the chance
to win a pair of tickets to see country star Billy Dean. Doors
open at 7 p.m. and the show begins at 7:30 p.m.
Switch
on a country radio station, and it won't be long before you'll
hear Billy Dean songs like "Tryin' to Light a Fire in
the Dark," "We Just Disagree," "Only Here
for a Little While," or the fine essay in nostalgia "Billy
the Kid." Billy sings them, and often he writes them
too. He got started as a champion on "Star Search,"
and his natural charisma has never needed Nashville star-making
machinery for enhancement. Billy is something of a matinee
idol as well, with various soap-opera roles to his credit.
Active
as a recording artist since 1990, he has recorded a total
of eight studio albums (of which the first three have been
certified gold by the RIAA) and a greatest hits package which
is also certified gold. His studio albums have accounted for
more than twenty hit singles on the Billboard country charts,
including eleven Top Ten hits. Although he never reached the
top of the Billboard country charts on his own, he reached
Number One in 2000 as one of two guest vocalists on Kenny
Rogers' "Buy Me a Rose", and had two Number Ones
on the RPM country charts in Canada.
You
can see him at an arena, or maybe at a county fair with the
smell of corn dogs in the air.But it's not very often that
you can see him up close and personal, at a venue like The
Ark.
Tickets
are $25 each and can be ordered online here
or at the box office.
The
Ark is located at 316 S. Main St. in Ann Arbor, MI 48104.
Three
lucky winners will each receive a pair of tickets to the Billy
Dean concert.
