| DETROIT
– Parking for America’s Thanksgiving Parade®
is now easier and more convenient with new pre-paid reserved
parking. Through a partnership with Click and Park, Parade-goers
can make parking arrangements in advance and support America's
Thanksgiving Parade®.
Attendees
can now reserve and purchase their parking for the 81st America's
Thanksgiving Parade at theparade.org or clickandpark.com.
Visitors can simply visit either website and with a few simple
clicks, purchase available parking from participating parking
lots in and around downtown Detroit. Reservations are proven
by a self-printed e-Permit featuring a unique barcode that
is scanned for entrance into their selected lot. Pre-reserved
parking permit sales will cease Thursday, November 22, 2007
at 7:00 a.m. A portion of each parking purchase goes to support
America's Thanksgiving Parade®.
“We
are very excited to be able to offer this service to the patrons
of America's Thanksgiving Parade®,” said Joan LeMahieu,
president of The Parade Company. “As more generations
of families enjoy the Parade together, they now can add the
convenience of parking together.”
“The
Click and Park pre-paid parking system increases customer
satisfaction on a variety of levels,” said Click and
Park president Tony Vitrano. “The guests enjoy an easy
and convenient parking experience and the ability to secure
parking in advance encourages attendance at the event.”
Personalized
directions and routing to each parking space is not only an
added convenience, but is actually a part of the larger transportation
plan designed to distribute traffic evenly. Each Click and
Park user is provided with customized directions along various
routes according to their point of origin. Guests receive
an e-mail confirmation and direct routing to their selected
lot within eight hours of their parking purchase.
