One Bank Unveils Saving Our Future Float for America's Thanksgiving

DETROIT
– The Parade Company unveiled Charter One Bank’s
new float, Saving Our Future, to a large crowd of Parade supporters
today at the 10th Annual VIP Pancake Breakfast presented by Charter
One Bank. The new float will makes its debut in the 83rd America’s
Thanksgiving Parade® on Thursday, November 26, 2009.
“Charter
One Bank has been a long-time supporter of The Parade Company
and we are so excited to debut our new float in America’s
Thanksgiving Parade®,” said Sandy Pierce, President,
Charter One Bank and Vice-Chair, Michigan Thanksgiving Parade
Foundation.
Saving
Our Future features recycled and recyclable materials provided
by Charter One Bank staff. Charter One
Bank provided 30 team members to assist in float production and
applied over 300 leaves to the tall standing tree on
the float. Some other interesting facts:

This year’s
Parade themed, Together We Shine, will feature crowd favorites
and new surprises with more than 60 Parade units including floats,
balloons, marching bands, clowns and specialty acts. The 1.5 mile-long
Parade steps off at 9:20 a.m. on Thursday, November 26, 2009 at
Woodward Avenue and Mack and ends at Woodward Avenue and Congress
in downtown Detroit. Hundreds of thousands of parade-goers will
be watching as the Parade makes its way down Woodward Avenue.
The two-hour
Parade will be featured on WDIV Local 4 including a one-hour national
broadcast reaching nearly 65 million households nationwide. NewsTalk
