(DTW). When you come to a hotel, you expect it to be clean, in reasonable
condition and to have a friendly staff. Travelers say most of the
hotels near the airport are anything but that. Look for interviews
with the assistant manager of the Howard Johnson Hotel, Patrick
Bennett of the Better Business Bureau and Travel Expert Nicole Hockin.

police reports indicate

(DTW). There have been 22 incidents of theft or vandalism at hotels
near the airport over the last six months, according to police reports
obtained by AmericaJR.com. Several vehicles were stolen from these
hotel parking lots and only one was recovered. Many other vehicles
had their GPS devices and car stereos stolen. Some cars had their
windows broken and one car even had a turn signal lever broken off.
Of all these incidents, only one hotel was able to provide a surveillance
tape to police. Maybe next time, the others should remember to hit
the record button.
