Bing, the First Lady of the City of Detroit, held her private luncheon
on January 27. There was about 450 of the region's notable women
in attendance. The keynote speaker was Robert Bobb, the emergency
financial manager of Detroit Public Schools. It was all hosted the
Mayor Dave Bing Inaugural Committee. The first lady announced her
partnership with the Detroit Public Schools Reading Corps. during
the event.
