Toyota unveils the all-new Camry Hybrid

Toyota has unveiled a new version of the Camry. It is a hybrid and you can see it when you visit the 2006 North American International Auto Show. The original Camry has been the best-selling car in America for the last four years.

When Toyota was working on the new Camry Hybrid, they changed everything. Designers worked on every aspect of the car and changed it. It comes with the new Hybrid Synergy Drive, the same feature that is used in the Prius.

The Hybrid Synergy Drive combines gas and electric power that complement each other. Both of them create 192 horsepower. The system is designed to run on one, or both as needed. The gasoline engine produces 147 hp and the electric motor produces 45 hp. It comes with a 2.4-liter, 4-cylinder engine.

What kind of fuel economy does it offer? You will get 43 mpg in the city and 37 mpg on the highway. It offers a combined rating of 40 mpg. The gas tank can hold 17.1 gallons of fuel.

There are many other features that come with the new Camry hybrid. It comes with an audio jack so you can plug in your iPod or any other MP3 player. It also offers halogen headlights, cruise control, a tire-pressure monitoring system, air conditioning, eight-way adjustable driver's seat and more.

What kind of warranty does it offer? It has a 36-month/36,000 mile warranty that applies to all components of the vehicle excluding wear and tear. There is an additional 60-month/60,000 mile warranty on the powertrain. There is an 8-year/100,000 mile warranty on all hybrid components.

The Toyota line is increasing with their different car models in our society. For example, they have the new Toyota Camry Hybrid that just came out. Today, I am greatly impressed with the Toyota company. It has greatly improved over the past years. On a scale from 1 to 10 with 10 being the best, I rate the new Toyota Camry Hybrid as a "9."
