BROOKLYN,
Mich. -- For race fans interested in a unparalleled
experience, the Champions Club at Michigan International
Speedway is the premier choice for food, fun and entertainment.
Perched
high atop the speedway’s main grandstand right at
the start-finish line, the Champions Club is an exclusive
suite for 870 guests that includes reserved, outdoor stadium
seating. Champions Club members enjoy many great services,
including 20-inch wide outdoor seats, private restrooms
and various food and bar stations within an air-conditioned
lounge.
Speedway
President Roger Curtis wanted to improve the experience
in the club so he and the staff have made numerous improvements
and added several amenities based on feedback with guests.
Perhaps
one of the biggest changes is the establishment of a guest
service ambassador to provide personal customer service
to club ticket-holders. Kathy Wyne, who has been at MIS
for six years, is the special contact for guests leading
up to the event. That customized, personal service is
just one thing that sets the Champions Club apart from
other sporting venues’ hospitality options.
Other
improvements new for 2009 include special Champions Club
parking in Lot 11 and unlimited food options while the
Champions Club is open. Admission to the Champions Club
covers three days during both NASCAR Sprint Cup race weekends
at MIS, June 12-14 and Aug. 14-16.
These
improvements, along with new innovative décor,
will help fans find value for the money they spend while
at the track.
“Now,
more than ever, it’s important for us to incorporate
fan feedback into the overall fan experience at MIS,”
Curtis said. “It’s our mission, our brand
and the right way to do business today. Our fans are always
looking for value and this is one way we’re building
on that.”
Champions
Club admission also includes:
-
Unlimited food while club is open
-
Commemorative credential
-
Pre-Race pit access
-
Outdoor individual 20-inch wide stadium seats with cup
holders
-
Air-conditioned lounge and entertainment area
-
Elevator access to Champions Club level
-
Closed-circuit TVs inside the club
-
Commemorative Champions Club pin
-
Private restrooms
-
Parking pass for the weekend in Lot 11
The speedway worked with its catering provider, Americrown,
for new food options that will fit every palette. From
hot dogs to prime rib, tacos to a healthy choice food
station, guests will find what they are looking for. All
food stations are inclusive in the price and are available
from 9 a.m. until the end of the race each day the Champions
Club is open.
The
Champions Club seats a limited number of people —
870. Seats are $480 per person for the entire weekend.
“I
really enjoy coming to MIS and sitting in the Champions
Club. Everyone is so helpful and it’s just a great
place to spend the race weekend,” said Robert Steeneck
of Dearborn, Mich.
Steeneck,
who has been an MIS ticket-holder since 1977, has attended
the races in the Champions Club since the club opened
in 2005.
